Moab 2010

We arrived in Moab, Utah around 10 o'clock local time. We begin to unload and prep the Jeeps in the parking area of the condos. Once we had all loaded up we enjoyed lunch at a nice local eatery called Zax's then headed towards the Moab Rim Trail. The group that was with us was, Jason in the JK, Harry in the TJ, Mike in the poo rocket, Randy in the YJ, Kevin in the white Cherokee, Brandon in the green CJ, Charlie in the red XJ, and Ben in the blue Cherokee.The Moab Rim Trail, did not waste any time becoming challenging and spectacular. We got off the trail around 6 or 7 later that night. Ben's blue Cherokee had overheating problems and had to sit on the sidelines for a while. Also Charlie's jeep had a very intresting day, he experienced everything from seeing his tire roll past him and continue through a parking lot to pushing his back glass out of the hatch.

randys jeep was ooc yesterday for poision spider/rusty nail. got it back going for hell's revenge and we hit all the trails we missed last time today. here are some teaser pics. much more to follow.

Two pictures....that is a tease. Bring on the rest, I know you guys have the capability to down load them now! That is, unless everyone is too busy wrenching on busted rigs, which I hope isn't the case.

Update: Yesterday we did the Pritchett Canyon trail and it turned out to be quite a day. Lots of good trail riding with some really hard obstacles.

bad news report:

A couple of jeeps caught up to us on the trail and we let them pass us at Rock Knocker since there were 8 jeeps with us. One of the Jeeps rolled on Rocker Nocker with no injuries. We rolled it back over and everyone else that tried it went up without problem.

Jason broke a rear axle shaft on Rock Stacker so 2 Jeeps went out to get one from a local 4x4 shop. They returned 3 hours later (5:30), we put it in, and headed out.

Kevin ruined the front end of his Jeep at a sand dune playground we found. He accidentally launched through the air landing on the nose of the Jeep. Damages: bend axle housing, shock shaped lick a U, ripped a control arm mount off the axle, possibly bent a couple of control arms, maybe tweaked the unibody a little in the front.

I think we finally made it onto the hwy at about 8:30, went to eat, then several of the guys went back with a trailer to get Kevin’s Jeep at the end of the trail.

well...i must admit that i expected to see more pictures than this. a little bird told me that there were considerable pictures and updates on Facebook. but, i prefer to get my atomic city trail ride info and pictures from the ACFW site and thread about the trip, not elsewhere. reckon i'll just keep waiting patiently and check back here in a day or so. hope everybody is back safe.

See if it does it again, it was only 100mb and I seen it to 500 but accidental put 500KB instead of MB. Sorry about that..

i am starting to think they did not go since there are so few pictures, anybody can photo-shop there jeep on to the pictures we have seen :-k
