Riding & eating are a "gimme" w/ this club! Where & when are more difficult to decide

after attending the jeepster jam this weekend, i vote for golden mt. it's close, has facilities for campers and tents both, a playground for kids and one for grown ups (trails). a fishing pond, and a big pavilian. i know about half of us have been at least once, but i still think it's the best place for what we are looking to do.
any other suggestions?

my vote is for Golden Mountain as well. sounds great with the camping. it's far enough away to feel like a trip and close enough that everyone can come. \:D/

Are we planning to get there on a Friday evening and camping 2 nights?

$35 to spend a weekend with long lost buddies is hardly reason not to come. Where could you get camping for two nights, meals, and friends like this for $35?

Is ACFW going to "foot the bill" on this trip for the club members - park access, camping costs, a meal/breakfast, etc? Just curious. If so.....and I can go, I'll pay dues.

I'm in the same boat as you Brad - out of the loop since 2006 or 2007.
'still trying to think of something clever.

Craig,
I found some old pix when you "used to ride" w/ us. If you're interested, PM me & I'll forward them via e-mail or burn them to CD.

Sure, I'd like to see those. Send them in the whatever manner is easiest for you.
I'm not sure if looking at vintage pics or me trying to get out on the trail now would be more funny.

those do look pretty good. I would think that would be a BYOPAS type of place (bring your own pillow and sheets).

With so few units available, I'll bet they've already been reserved by other SFWDA members long ago. For that matter, all the camping spaces are probably all reserved, too. Can we camp just out in the open?

I can't make a decision till school is finalized, which is supposed to start sometime in November. As of right now, not going.

You must be thinking Dixie Run. This is ACFW ride in November.

If I lived in Nashville, I'd pay some dues and go on this ride. 5 hours from Memphis is pushing it to drive on a Friday after work though...
